Job description
Job duties include operating farm equipment to till soil, plant, harvest crops, haul grain to the grain bins/storage area, and mow around the farmstead. equipment includes tractors, air seeders, planters, combines, semi trucks, mowers, augers, and pickups. Employees will also perform manual labor such as servicing equipment; which includes greasing fueling, and minor repairs, cleaning grain bins, cleaning tractors and trucks, loading air seeders and planter, shoveling in grain bins, loading trucks, and performing maintenance around the shop and farm yard. Must have or be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire and have 3 months of experience. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
Special Requirements
Drug testing and criminal background check may be done post hire at the employer's expense to ensure safety at the worksite. Must be able to lift 75 pounds for lifting bags of seed. Extensive sitting applies when operating equipment. Frequent stooping or bending applies when performing maintenance or repairs. Repetitive movements apply when cleaning grain bins and shoveling.
