Landscape Laborer

Job description

Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mulch, mow, trim, plant, prune, edge , water, weed, fertilize, dig, and rake. Aerate, gather/remove litter/debris/thatch, haul topsoil/debris, cut down small trees and saplings, clean up & haul downed trees, spread straw/topsoil, mix and spray or spread fertilizers/herbicides and compost. Maintain/clean tools, equipment & work sites. Grading and ground preparation for planting, irrigation installation, installing plants, pruning plants, erecting plant trellis, and harvesting berries. Work is supervised. Employer provides 10 days on the job training.

Workers will report daily to either at 445 Wade E Vannoy Dr, West Jefferson, North Carolina 29694 or 120 Lovelady Rd, Rutherford College, North Carolina 28671.

Special Requirements

Lift/ carry up to 50 pounds. Employer paid drug test is Pre-Employment. Employer paid post-hire criminal background check. Employer will only assist with locating shared rental housing upon arrival at the request of the employee. Employees are not required to live in housing the employer locates. Employees may make their own arrangements at their own expense.
