Job description
ROOFER-HELPER. HELPS ROOFERS INSTALL AND REPAIR ROOFING IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS AS DIRECTED BY THE
TEAM LEADER. EXPERIENCE USING VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT, OR THE COMMITMENT TO LEARN THEIR PROPER USE IS REQUIRED. DUTIES
INCLUDE USING, SUPPLYING OR HOLDING MATERIALS OR TOOLS, AND CLEANING WORK AREA AND EQUIPMENT. REMOVE OLD ROOFING MATERIALS. UNLOAD
MATERIALS AND TOOLS FROM WORK TRUCKS AND UNROLL ROOFING AS DIRECTED. SET LADDERS, SCAFFOLDS, AND HOISTS IN PLACE FOR TAKING SUPPLIES TO
ROOFS. THIS POSITION REQUIRES PHYSICAL WORK INCLUDING CLIMBING, WORKING AT HEIGHTS, LIFTING (USING CORRECT TECHNIQUE), BENDING,
LEARNING/PERFORMING CARPENTRY SKILLS, WORKING ON KNEES, WORKING SAFELY WITH CHEMICALS, WORKING UNDER DIFFICULT CONDITIONS INCLUDING
EXPOSURE TO EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS, AND USING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT SAFELY. WORKERS MUST MAINTAIN A WEIGHT OF LESS THAN 300 LBS.
(INCLUDING CLOTHING AND BACKPACK) TO REMAIN IN COMPLIANCE FOR WEIGHT LIMITATIONS FOR ACCESS AND EGRESS TO WORK AREAS AND FOR FALL
PROTECTION. WORKERS MAY BE REQUESTED TO SUBMIT TO RANDOM DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTS AT NO COST TO THE WORKER. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE
REQUEST OR TESTING POSITIVE MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION. ALL TESTING WILL OCCUR POST-CONDITIONAL OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT AND IS NOT A

VERIFIABLE WORK EXPERIENCE AS A ROOFER-HELPER. WORKERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO JOB SITES. EMPLOYER PROVIDES ROOM
AND BOARD AND PAYS $25 PER DIEM AND TRAVEL TIME FOR JOBS REQUIRING OVERNIGHT STAYS.
