Job description

Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment; prepare site for landscape installation by moving dirt, marking beds and mixing soil; plant and transplant trees and other landscaping. Lay sod, mow, trim, pruning, weeding, watering, core aerating; dig holes with shovel, rake, blow leaves, clean up; spread grass seed, fertilizer and mulch; sprinkler installation/repair, installation of mortar-less segmental concrete masonry wall units. Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. May drive company vehicle to transport crews, plants, materials and tools to/from or at worksites. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Minimum 40 up to possible 48 hours per week. Multiple shifts Monday through Saturday. Sample shift: 7:30a-4:00p, with half hour unpaid meal break. Work days and shift time may vary with weather and needs of the business.

$16.04/hr. Employer may increase wage based on experience and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. In Tennessee an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. In Kentucky an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek; and if an employee works 7 consecutive days without reaching 40 hours the employee will be paid at time-and-a-half for hours worked on the 7 consecutive day in the workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $24.06 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Pay received weekly.

Special Requirements

Pre-employment criminal background check; and post-employment, post incident/injury, and random drug testing required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Must be able to work a 6-day schedule, may include weekends and holidays as required. Applicants must complete an employment application.
