Job description

Locate grain line patterns to determine how stone will split.
Remove pieces of stone from larger masses, using sledge hammers, wedges and other small hand tools.
Insert wedges into natural seam, drive wedges with sledge hammers to split stone sections from masses.
Sort and palletize stone on different pallets according to size and thickness variation.
Band the pallet using pieces of banding, and secure the banding in place around the pallet with a few nails using a small hammer.
