Job description

We farm 3000 acres of corn, soybeans, and hay. We prepare the soil, plant, spray, harvest and haul the grain to storage facilities. We need a seasonal employee to assist with all aspects of raising these crops. Employee will need to operate late model John Deere equipment. Employee will need to assist with mowing and weed control on farm. During haying season employee will need to operate hay equipment to swathe, rake, and bale hay. Employee will need to clean out grain bins and clean and organize shop and other farm buildings as needed to do routine maintenance and upkeep. Employees will need to operate semi-trucks. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

***Please note that in 2023 and all future years we will be adjusting our starting date to April 1 to cover our entire crop season.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and 3 months experience.
