Agriculture Equipment Operator

Job description

Tasks to be completed: drive and operate farm machinery such as planters, air seeders, sprayers and combines to plant cultivate, harvest and store grain crops, Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate row crops. Rock roll, tillage, rock picking, spread fertilizer, handle chemicals and harrow. Tow harvested equipment, fill transport water, ATV and UTV use and weed control with chemicals. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, general service of lubrication, check fluids, and minor mechanical repairs to farm machinery. Shop maintenance such as clean up, remove debris, any carpentry work on houses or structures. Drive semi-trucks and trailers for delivery of crops and supplies to assigned locations. Load and unload grain bins with augers. Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking and stooping and exposure to extreme temperatures. Employer requires a drug screen post hire at the employer’s expense due to liability of driving trucks on public highways. Criminal background check required post hire at employer’s expense due to expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen / criminal background will result in termination of employment. No education level required.
Must be self motivated and work independently after given instructions.

Must be able to do the following:
• Lift 60 lbs.
• Minimum 3 months experience required operating farm equipment listed and drive and
operate semi-trucks.
• Must have a current driver’s license or obtain one in 30 days.

Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefit in additional to those listed in their sole discretion.

At Employer requests post hire drug screening of employees and criminal background checks will be done at the Employer's expense due to liability of driving trucks on public highways and expensive tools and equipment on the farm.
