Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

We operate a family farm where we farm corn soybeans milo and wheat, also keep around 1000 head of feeder cattle on our farm. Employees will need to assist with our crops season and complete all aspects of raising these crops. On our own farm we have a wide variety of job opportunities that require workers with considerable skills and willingness to work. Employees will need to assist with fence building/repair, cutting down trees and other general farm duties. Employees will need to operate farm equipment to plant, spray, harvest and haul crops. Equipment includes grain cart, combine, tractor, loader and harvesting equipment.

In addition, we operate a custom harvest business where we harvest wheat in Oklahoma, Kansas, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Fall harvest of corn soybeans and milo occurs mostly around our home base. When doing custom harvesting employees will need to operate a combine to combine for the clients listed on the application.

Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment including change oil, grease, repairs, change tires, welding, etc. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

***Please note for future years our starting date will be March 15 to cover our entire crop season. This is the earliest date available for 2022.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Requires 3 months experience.
