General Farm Worker Animal

Job description

Perform Duties such as drive and operate tractors, pick-ups and semi trucks with tailors to preform farm activities such as planting crops and grains such as alfalfa and corn for cattle feed. They will drive tractors and operate designated equipment to cut/ rake/bale forage for the animals. All bales will have to move back to the ranch for the winter months. They will feed cow /calf pairs daily and detect any health conditions of the animals. When spring arrives the livestock herd will be moved to the pasture for the summer months. Weekly route will be done to check each pasture and deliver minerals and feed supplements. Work will involve picking up, delivering and maneuvering seed, chemical and farm supplies to and from farm, field and market. Basic knowledge of repairs and maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, structures and fencing. Knowledge of fixing fence will be helpful and must be able to lift 50 pound maybe required. Fence will need to be fixed and gates and corrals will need to maintained.

Employees must have a valid drivers license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Cell phone usage is limited to business related calls of the operation only.
NO TEXTING. No smoking in equipment, vehicles, fields or housing units. Drinking of alcoholic beverages is prohibited during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
No Educational level required.
Must have three months tractor driving with towed implements and operate computerized weight scale monitors in feeder wagons for cattle. Cattle experience is necessary.
