Job description
Prepare the fields, make beds, lay drip tape. Plant vegetables by transplanting or by hand seeding. Maintenance of vegetables which includes staking, tying, and pruning. Use of hand tools including but not limited to shovels, hoes, and clippers. Load and stack baskets on trailers. Lay plastic, install irrigation, manually plant, weed and clean plastic of debris. Removal of plastic & drip tape from the ground. Picking of vegetables may be done by hand or with a specialty knife. Post harvest handling includes sorting, washing, grading, packing into bins, bags, boxes, plastic containers and crates. Job tasks include operation of tractors, farm equipment, trucks, irrigation equipment and other machinery.
Special Requirements
Monday-Friday, Floating schedule depending on weather, schedule varies, start/end times will vary, days of week worked will vary based on workload. No experience required, employer will train.
