Temporary Seasonal Position: Beekeeper, Helper | SOC Code: 45-2093
All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described & must be available for entire period.
Brad's Bees & Honey Inc., Delavan, WI, Walworth
Possible shift: 7:00AM-4:00PM. 40+ May be possibility of weekend work. Crops: Bees, Flowers, Elderberries, Clovers. Duties may include: apiary management including feeding, inspecting, splitting beehives using specific hive tools. Transport hives as needed and build/maintain bee related equipment such as boxes, frames, lids, and pallets. Remove honey supers from hives to warehouse, extract honey from supers, and clean honey house. May also include cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment, apiaries, buildings. Duties may include, but are not limited to: moving/organizing equipment and trailers, painting, sanding, scraping, power washing, sweeping, and plant and maintain crops that are grown in the support of beekeeping and honey production & other related Beekeeper, Helper activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). On-the-job training provided. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. Tools supplies and equipment provided at no cost to worker. Employer guarantees 3/4 of contract. Work outdoors, exposed to weather, hot or cold; hours may vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hours. Dependable: fulfill obligations. Attn. to detail: complete work tasks. Employer provided housing available to those who cannot reasonably return to their residence within the same day. No cell phone use during work hours.
Must be able to obtain a drivers license. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show legal authorization to work in the United States. Cash advances may apply at employer discretion.
