Job description

We farm 4000-acres of certified organic corn, popcorn, soybeans, wheat, rye, oats, triticale, buckwheat, sunflower, canola, pumpkin, and forages. We need seasonal employees to assist with all aspects of growing these crops. Employees will need to operate farm equipment to complete field prep, plant, fertilize, harvest, and haul these crops to storage location. Employees will need to operate farm equipment and setup equipment. Employees will need to drive semi-trucks to haul grain. Complete general farm building repairs and farm maintenance to do routine upkeep to the farm, this includes field and roadside mowing and trimming. Manual field labor such as rock picking and hand weeding will be completed as needed. Employees will need to keep accurate records of activities. Other fieldwork and general labor duties will be completed as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Requires 3 months experience.
