Job description
Job duties include operating various farm equipment to plant; seed tending; fertilize; spray; transport fuel to fields; tender grain away from combine with grain cart at harvest; windrow, rake, bale, and remove straw and hay from fields; mow grass and weeds from around bins and fences; cut trees from fence lines, waterways, and pasture. Employees will operate equipment including but not limited to tractors, pick ups, forklift, anhydrous tanks, grain cart, self propelled wind rower, tractor with hay rake, baler with rotary mower, tree remover, and weed cutter. Duties also include manual labor such as hooking up equipment, minor repairs to equipment, weed cutting, and some lifting when necessary. Employees must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire; have 2 months of experience; and basic English literacy, reading, and math skills. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
Special Requirements
Employees will be moving augers into place, lifting tires for replacement, and hooking up equipment. Employees may be exposed to extreme temperatures in the summer when working outdoors in the heat. Employees will be sitting for more than 1 hour in tractors or trucks.
