Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

We are a 12000-acre irrigated organic farm. We grow organic corn, barley, and soybeans. We have electric center pivot irrigation systems with electric wells and run all late model John Deere equipment. We operate 4 grain terminals that ship out by truck and rail. We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production. Employees will be involved in planting, cultivating, fertilizing, irrigating, trucking, and handling of crops. They will be expected to drive tractors, combines, sprayers, truck, and all other pieces of farm equipment. They will mow, control weeds, do general and routine maintenance on equipment, farm buildings and grain facilities. They will wash and clean vehicles and equipment and be expected to clean and maintain their living quarters. General farm work is desired. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

***Please note that in 2023 and all future years we will adjust our starting date to the spring to cover the entire crop season starting with planting.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and 3 months experience.
