Job description

Workers will be manually harvesting sweet corn. Workers will be walking behind mule train as it moves slowly through the field. Workers will be picking, tying, stacking the sweet corn on the mule train and trucks. Sweet corn must be harvested by pulling down while bending and reaching to select mature ears. Must have good hand and eye coordination as to select corn by size and maturity. Perform prolonged walking over uneven ground, dusty or even muddy, bending and reaching.

Los trabajadores estarán cosechando maíz dulce manualmente. Los trabajadores caminarán detrás del tren de mulas mientras se mueve lentamente por el campo. Los trabajadores recogerán, atarán y apilarán el maíz dulce en el tren de mulas y los camiones. El maíz dulce se debe cosechar tirando hacia abajo mientras se dobla y estira para seleccionar las mazorcas maduras. Debe tener buena coordinación de manos y ojos para seleccionar el maíz por tamaño y madurez. Realizar caminatas prolongadas sobre terrenos irregulares, polvorientos o incluso embarrados, agachándose y alcanzando.
