Job Description Harvest Truck Drivers
All Drivers hauling agricultural products from field to plant locations are required to have a current CDL operators license along with required endorsements. Round trips range from 10 miles to 200 miles.
Drivers are required to inspect trucks before the first trip and after the final trip of their shift and report the condition of their truck and trailer.
Service truck with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to maintain the tractor-trailer
Drivers load and unload their trucks
Complete a daily logbook page and trip sheets
Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way.
Comply with all DOT and in-house rules and regulations
Keep truck and equipment sanitized, tidy, and in good working order for the next person
Daily activities include but are not limited to:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Operate equipment via turning, maneuvering, navigating, or driving.
Use of hands and arms in handling, positioning, manipulating, or moving objects
Communication with supervisors, peers, and customers via telephone, in person, or writing
Performing physical activities that require the use of your arms, legs, and moving your entire body: climbing, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.
Additional attention to being able to see details at a distance and close range, depth perception, ability to move quick and have a quick reaction time.
