Job description
Workers will harvest blackberries. May be expected to participate in sorting and loading. Field picking and packing. Shovel, haul, spread manure, dig holes, ditches, and trenches. Manually, plant, cultivate, harvest, count, load, and unload fruits (blackberries). Workers may also do staking, tying, and may be asked to drive farm equipment on the farm. They will use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. May repair fences and farm buildings and participate in irrigation activities.
Special Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years or older per liability insurance requirements. Valid drivers license required. Employer may conduct background checks on all new applicants for employment at employers expense. Workers participants in the Food Safety Program. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described. Cell phone can only be used during breaks, emergencies, and communicated with supervisor when needed. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to the workers. Lifting requirement may have a range of 5-60 Ibs. Workers must not have any physical limitations that would prevent them from performing duties of job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Workers must have ability to climb ladder and work on an elevated platform. Quickly work with one or both arms and hands, reaching and grabbing out in sorting process
