Vegetable Harvest Crew

Job description

Our farm is small diversified vegetable farm that sells vegetables directly to retail markets and to wholesale markets. This job is a job on our farm's 'wholesale harvest crew'. The majority of work hours will be spent picking and bunching lettuce, kale, beets, cabbage, chard and other vegetable crops. Our crop specializes in lettuce and kale and much of our big wholesale harvest blocks will be focused on those crops.

Generally we do not ask people to stay with a specific harvest more than 4 hours. Even if someone is harvesting all week we like to offer a little diversity in work so they never spend all day harvesting the same crop. Often times there will be two or three crops harvested in the same day. The majority of time will be spent on wholesale harvest crops but at times the wholesale crew will help our direct market crew and harvest smaller quantities of more crops (carrots, onions, herbs, cucumbers, etc.). At certain times in the season the wholesale crew will help the production with irrigation, weeding, and planting.

We are a small family farm and are looking for people who are honest, friendly and easy to get along with.
