Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: trimming, raking, cleanup of limbs and leaves, shredding of larger tree branches, set up of equipment. The Ground Person duties include ground-level trimming and pruning using hand or power tools or equipment. The Ground Person assists the Tree Trimmer/ Climber in removal of vegetation by pruning of trees to smaller branches that can be reached from the ground. They use a chainsaw or handsaw to cut logs into hand able pieces and tree limbs. Also, they cut brush, clean up, gather, and drag brush debris resulting from overhead trimming. The Ground Persons drag, lift, and stack tree limbs and brush, to be chipped, then feed it into the chipper. They rake and operate a leaf blower to clean up yards.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random, upon suspicion of use, and post-accident. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers.
