Job description
Workers will perform general farm duties, such as manually plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables including; thinning and weeding plants using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes and rakes. Workers will dig, cut, pick, bunch, clean and grade, and package crops by hand. Workers must take care to not scar or bruise vegetables during harvesting and/or packing process. Workers must be able to lift, load, and unload 50 pound crates/boxes of harvested vegetables. Workers may perform maintenance activities on buildings and equipment such as washing, painting, minors repairs or routine maintenance. Duties may include ground keeping around the farm such as landscaping, mowing, organizing, and participate in farm and field clean up. Workers will need to have a minimum 3 months prior experience with general farming and harvesting and/or packing vegetables.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
