Job description
Our farm utilizes seasonal help from spring planting through fall harvest. Employees may assist with all aspects of soybean and corn production. Preparing the land for planting starts in late March, with planting occurring from April until May. During the months of June through August, Employees will participate in maintenance of the crops and farm. Harvesting and production begins during the fall months, starting in September and running through November. Grain hauling from remote locations continues after harvest in December, as we store it for later usage as feed. Equipment operated may include ATV, pickup, semi-truck, tractor or combine harvester. General farm labor including building and repairing farm fencing, rock-picking, light farm equipment operation (small tractor, skid loader) and weeding.
Preparing the land for planting, planting of crops, maintenance of the crops and farm, harvesting of crops - 20%
Grain hauling from remote locations - 20%
Operating equipment such as ATV, pickup, semi-truck, tractor or combine harvester - 50%
Building and repairing farm fencing, rock-picking, light farm equipment operation, and weeding - 10%
Three (3) months of relative work experience preferred.
CDL Driver’s License required.
Special Requirements
Position requires class A or International Commercial Drivers License. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Post-hire background checks required of foreign and domestic workers based on company policy and contract requirements. Post-hire drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers upon suspicion of use. Three (3) months of relative work experience preferred.
