Agricultural Equipment Operators

Job description

The job specifications involve skilled farm labor for the purpose of preparing for and performing duties of potato harvesting.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections and performs light service/maintenance tasks
• Use ag technology; GPS, precision ag equipment, computer, and smart phone
• Operate potato harvesting equipment, including tractors, harvesters, wind rowers, crop carts, pilers, conveyers and washlines
• Perform routine repair work on farm equipment in field
• Calibrate equipment as necessary
• Assists mechanic team with machine maintenance and repair activities
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
• Perform general farm work

Full time supervision is provided and all tools are provided at no cost. Workers must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and work in extreme temperatures. Lifting objects up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and stooping regularly will be required.

Special Requirements

3 months experience performing maintenance on agriculture related equipment. 3 months experience operating a tractors and tractor implements.
