Job description
The workers will perform general farm labor to consist of driving tractors, attaching implements such as mowers, plows, tillers, rollers, and other general farming tools. Duties will include, but not limited to, planting and harvesting sod, irrigation of fields, and weed control. They will also mow turf fields, stack sod on pallets, weedeat, build pallets with hammer and nails, stack and sort pallets, harvest grass, drive forklifts in and out of sod fields to stage sod pallets, load sod onto flatbed trucks, walk and work outside in heat and adverse weather conditions, and perform other general farming tasks as directed by a supervisor. Workers will also perform tree farming duties including tree trimming, replanting, relocating, irrigation, weed and pest control. Worker will perform farm maintenance of grounds, equipment, and work area.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
