Job description

Work may include but not limited to: Pruning and picking of apples, must be able to move ladders that can weigh up to 100 pounds through trees without damage to trees or apples. Must be able to pick 8 bushels or more per hour of good apples. Spot picking for color and size with no more then 5% bruising. Pilling hay in barn or wagons, picking of vegetables, clearing brush or rocks from fields. Farm related maintenance, cleaning, painting, fixing apple bins etc. Packing apples or making cider. All workers have to receive food safety training and worker protection training. This training will be provided by employer at no cost. There will be no food or drink allowed in work place, except for portable water. No cell phones or ear buds allowed in work place in accordance with Food Safety Plan. Not following Food Safety Plan could result in termination of contract.

Special Requirements

Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
