Farm Worker

Job description

I am looking for experienced help in cultivating crops. I am looking for temporary help. This position will require employees to perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to carrying 50 lb bushels, picking, thinning, and pruning apples and peaches, tending to the orchards for proper maintenance, other duties as assigned.

Hyder Farm Inc - Peach Orchard: Early May to Early August - 05/03/2022 to 08/10/2022. Hyder Farm requires an increased amount of labor, immediately, before their busiest time of the season to begin preparing enough crops for selling. H2A workers are also needed during the season to ensure the farm can sustainably maintain enough crops that can keep up with the demand. H2A workers will be picking and inspecting peaches. During the off-season,
they will be pruning, racking, maintaining, and preparing peach trees.

Bad Apple Farm: Mid August to end of December - 08/11/2022 to 12/30/2022
Bad Apple requires help pick, inspect and classify apples for selling. I am also responsible for providing labor for pruning and maintaining healthy apple trees throughout the season and end of the year. H2A workers are exposed to extensive bending and carrying heavy weights at a time such as 50 pound bushes of apples. They are also required to rake leaves and pick out weeds to keep apple trees free of debris and in good health.

Special Requirements

It is highly desirable that field workers have prior experience in agriculture work. Preferably in apple and peach orchards.
