Job description
AAA Faria, LLC, 120 temporary agricultural workers for North Carolina Greene, Lenoir, Harnett and Wayne Counties from 08/01/22 to 11/30/22. Harvest by hand sweet potatoes. Able to lift and carry 75 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. It should not hinder the productivity of another worker. Requires 1 months of verifiable sweet potatoes manual harvesting work experience. All workers will be harvesting sweet potatoes by hand. All cubes must be full: partially filled cubes will not be accepted. $14.16/hour 35 hours a week. If there is a change to the anticipated date of need and the employer fails to notify the order-holding office at least 10 business days prior to the original date of need the employer will pay eligible workers referred through the clearance system the specified hourly rate of pay, the first week starting with the originally anticipated date of need.. The tools are provided by the employer at no cost. 3/4 scheduled working hours guaranteed. Transport/subsistence reimbursed for the costs incurred by reporting to the workplace, if the worker completes half the period of employment. Return Transportation Refunded if the worker terminates the contract. The employer understands that the Fair Labor Standards Act applies independently of the H-2A requirements and imposes obligations on employers regarding payment of wages. 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1). Housing provided at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return own residency daily. In the event a female worker is hired, employer will provide separate sleeping, bathing and toilet facilities for male and female workers. Must be 18 years old.
