Food Preparation Worker

Job description

Perform a variety of food preparation and lite cooking duties such as making sandwiches, carving meats, making soups or salads, baking breads or desserts, and grilling and garnish hamburgers or other meats such as steaks and chops. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers. Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets. Portion and wrap the food or place it directly on plates for service to patrons. Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas.

Anticipated days and hours of work per week: 40 hours per week. Open 24-hours, 7-days a week with three daily shifts: 7am – 3pm; 3pm – 11pm; 11pm – 7am (Must work weekends and holidays; shifts and days off vary).

Special Requirements
