Job description
The pipelayer helper will assist pipelayers by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include using, supplying, or holding materials or tools such as shovels, sledgehammers, electric drills, pickaxes, and manual and electric saws. Pipelayer helper will assist with assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm and sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Pipelayer helper will assist in preparing ground and digging trenches. Pipelayer helper will assist in aligning pipes and sealing joints together with cement or glue. Pipelayer helper will assist in covering pipes with dirt or gravel. Clean-up worksites as needed.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs for 75 yds. Employer will require drug tests upon reasonable suspicion. Drug tests will be paid for by employer.
