Agricultural Equipment Operators

Job description

We are a family agricultural company that is dedicated to providing two types of services to farms in specific seasons of the year:

1. During the months of January to April, we clean the stables where the cattle are fed, we load the cattle manure to later be transferred and spread on site since it is used as fertilizer to fertilize the land.

2. During the months of May to December, we harvest and ensilage wheat, oats, alfalfa, which consists of cutting the plant from the ground and then grinding it and finally being used in different ranches as feed for cattle, in the last semester of the year we also harvest and ensilage corn, which is one of the main foods for feeding livestock.

We need seasonal employees to temporally assist our company during the months of July to December to harvest and ensilage wheat, oats, alfalfa, and corn. Temporary employees will operate farm equipment used in agricultural production, such a tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanism on machinery. Adjust and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers, containers, and conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, and pitchforks. Operate towed machines. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, and farm workers. Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased and rotten products. Position boxes and attach bags at discharge ends of machinery to catch products, removing and closing full containers.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 50lbs. Job requires a regular driver license and 3 months of experience. Job requires an extensive pushing and pulling.
