Temporary Seasonal Position: Ag Equipment Operator | SOC Code: 45-2092

Possible shift: 7:30AM-4:30PM. 40+ May be possibility of weekend work. Crops: Dry Fertilizers, Liquid Fertilizers, Seed Corn, Seed Beans, Seed Wheat, Feed, Grain, Alfalfa, Rye, Field Grasses, Legumes. Duties may include: Operate commercial application equipment or agricultural tractor for the purpose of applying crop inputs to product fields. Operate and maintain single or tandem axle trucks, multi-axle configuration trucks, and/or combination vehicles for delivery and/or pickup of agronomy and/or energy products and other equipment including fork trucks and/or wheel loaders. Assist in manufacturing of feed, assist the grain operations and maintenance with company grain facilities. Apply crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels. Records application data according to regulations and standards. Provide electronic and/or paper copies of "as applied" data in a timely manner. Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport and application equipment for blending and delivery of products. Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks, tractors and other equipment to meet company standards. Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights and breaks. Responsible for the inventory control and turns in application records on a daily basis. Schedules maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested. Maintains service records of each piece of equipment and vehicle to document a quality maintenance program and meet DOT requirements. Responsible for the housekeeping of the shop and general maintenance of ship and equipment. Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on/off trucks or trailers. Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times. Performs new equipment installation and bin erection. Performs equipment installations such as floors, fans, wall sheet replacement, unloaders, curtains, doors, livestock equipment & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). On-the-job training provided. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. Tools supplies and equipment provided at no cost to worker. Employer guarantees 3/4 of contract. Work outdoors, exposed to weather, hot or cold; hours may vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hours. Dependable: fulfill obligations. Attn. to detail: complete work tasks. Employer provided housing available to those who cannot reasonably return to their residence within the same day. Cell phone use allowable during designated breaks.
Must be able to obtain a drivers license. Must be 18 due to insurance. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone.
