Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Must be able to perform a variety of duties including harvesting, delivering seed and fertilizer, checking irrigation systems, hooking and unhooking implements, inspecting equipment, mowing, etc. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Determine productivity and performance of various applications of seed, fertilizer and chemicals. Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Must have a good understanding of precision agriculture. Must be able to work alone or in team environment. Must be able to maneuver around equipment and up ladders. Must be able to work flexible and extended hours during harvesting and planting seasons. Must be able to perform basic problem solving skills in electrical and mechanical areas. Must be able to communicate clearly progress of jobs throughout the day. Must be able to arrive to work on time. Basic literacy and arithmetic required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
