Job description
Cut down trees
Operate machinery such as grapple skidder, bell track tree feller, track skid steer loader
Fasten cables around logs to be dragged by tractors
Separate logs by species and type of wood and load them onto trucks
Drive and maneuver feller–buncher tree harvesters to shear trees and cut logs into desired lengths
Grade logs according to characteristics such as knot size and straightness
Able to use chain saw for felling and bucking trees
Drive, load and haul with 1 Ton Flatbed Pickup w/ 40’ Float
Inspect equipment for safety, and perform necessary basic maintenance tasks, before using the equipment
Special Requirements
Operator must comply with landowner environmental regulations, random drug tests may be performed at employer's expenses after hire to guarantee the safety of workers. Must have ability to load two trucks per hour. Must be able to obtain driver license. Must be in good health and physical conditions and able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and exposure to extreme temperatures.
