Job description
Workers will assist with all aspects of general farm labor and packing shed labor such as: crop production, crop maintenance and shipping functions as well as general maintenance of the premises during MGI’s season from approximately September 18, 2022 through December 2, 2022. A list of all vegetables, herbs, fruits, and greens include: kale, strawberries, peppers, oregano, dill, thyme, rosemary, tomatoes, greens, zucchini, cucumber, chives, basil, peppermint, spearmint, green beans, squash, chards, sage, citronella, spinach, cilantro, asparagus and variety of flowers. Staking plants, stringing plants, pruning plants, packing produce, sorting vegetables, cleaning fields of weeds and debris, pulling tape, pulling stakes, planting, grading, and stacking produce. All aspects of crop production, crop maintenance, picking tomatoes, packing tomatoes, planting tomatoes, pruning tomatoes, stringing tomatoes, laying plastic, weeding fields, staking fields, picking up plastic, cleaning fields, taking down string, taking up plastic, and shipping functions as well as greenhouse assembly and the general maintenance of the premises, pulling tape, pulling stakes, staking tomatoes, planting tomato crops, packing tomatoes, grading tomatoes, stacking tomato boxes, maintaining packing house in clean conditions, operating packing house equipment.

REPETITIVE MOVEMENTS
Employees will be given 2 weeks of hands on training to acclimate to temperatures, how to properly pick and pack produce and crop specific issues, proper food safety and hygiene, and proper work safety practices and procedures. After 2 weeks of training employees will be expected to meet minimum picking and packing requirements as to not hinder production.
