Job description
Crew Housing Worker
Incident to and in conjunction with Sierra Cascade’s farming operations on the farm, workers will perform secondary agriculture functions, as described at 29 C.F.R. 780.105(c), that include assisting with maintenance and upkeep of farmworker housing facilities, including stocking supplies, mopping, sweeping, garbage removal, laundry, and general clean-up to provide a high standard for safe and secure living conditions in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.
Special Requirements
This position requires a good understanding of the hospitality occupation. Must have 2 months of general hospitality work experience within the previous 2 years. Workers must stand, sit, crouch, bend, reach, lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds in the course of performing required activities. Workers must listen to, understand and follow instructions of company supervisors and managers. Workers are expected to assist in maintaining work areas and company property in a neat and clean condition by not littering. Meals must be eaten in the assigned area(s) away from the employees work station.
Farm Labor Crew Housing work is principally performed in buildings, but also includes some outdoor work.
