Aquaculture Oyster Technician

Job description

Care for oyster seed from delivery to finish. Grade oysters; manually sort & count oysters by size. Keep nursery
organized by seed size and strain. Clean silos and tanks. Clean nursery infrastructure including water supply
system and discharge. Pack maturing oysters in bags to be placed overboard. Pack boxes of oysters of varying count
size. Load and unload cages and bags. Load pallets, use pallet jack; operate equipment; hand tools such as
pneumatic wire cutter to build and maintain gear for nursery operation. Work is supervised.

Plant locations- 34256 Wright Road, Atlantic, VA 23337 and 784 Locklies Creek Road, Topping, VA 23169.

Special Requirements

Lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Employer paid drug test is Post-Employment Random, Post-Hire Upon Suspicion. No infectious diseases; seafood allergies may be fatal.
