Job description
A Lead Abatement Worker will be specializing in removing lead based paint and other materials on surfaces such as ceilings and walls in as low as 48 F to 98 F temperature. They will be using the wet scrape method and sometimes operating high pressure sprayers, sandblasters, paint brushes, paint rollers, and paint sprayers. Their responsibilities also include wearing protective gear and safely discarding materials. Aside from physical work, a Lead Abatement Worker usually has to climb high places, maintain records and train new workers. They work in a team setting for a more safe and efficient workflow.
They will work 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
1 hour for lunch and (2) 15 minute breaks.
Special Requirements
The length of training will be 2 days prior to the employees being able to begin to do any rehab or lead abatement on the projects the employer has lined up. The remaining 3 days of the work week will be for the employees to be taken to the job site and shadow the staff to view how the work is completed.
