Job description

Job Duties/Job Description Feed raw materials into machinery. Assemble goods on production lines. Monitor the production process. Clean as needed. Pack goods for shipping. Maintain equipment and work areas. Load and unload items from machines and conveyors. Assist machine operators. Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions. Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually. Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand. Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Separate products according to weight, grade, size, or composition of materials used to produce them. Dump materials such as prepared ingredients into machine hoppers prior to mixing. Assist production line with raw materials and finished products. Load/unload items from machines, carts, and pallet-jacks, help feed or place items onto equipment for processing, assist with packaging of goods with consistent speed and accuracy and clean production line area to meet SQF and GMP standards. Prepare raw materials for processing. Position spouts or chutes of storage bins so that containers can be filled. Wash work areas, machines, equipment, or products. Fold products and product parts during processing. Break up defective products for reprocessing.
40 hours a week, 8-10 hours a day, 4-5 days a week. 1st group shift 6:30 AM to 3 PM and 2nd group shift 3 PM and 11:30 PM. Start times may vary depending on specific position.

Special Requirements

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a food production environment; stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and twist; push, pull, lift and/or carry weight up to 40 pounds. Able to assist with the operation of production equipment; able to verbally communicate to exchange information. Able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction. Drug screening as needed upon reasonable suspicion, post-offer at no cost to the employee.
