Job description
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Moving cattle home from pasture: Working and vaccinating cattle; Feeding cattle; Maintaining heated water systems; Opening frozen water tanks; Fencing corn field for winter grazing; Hauling water to corn fields for cattle; Inspect livestock for illness/injuries; Snow removal; Maintaining feed equipment; Assist with calving in March and April. Return cattle to pasture at the end of the season. Crops: Beef Cattle
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
