Job description
Job duties include work at the grain bins which include shipping out corn, rice, and soybeans to the necessary locations, removing floors, cleaning under floors, replacing floors, repairing and replacing fans, augers, and stir alls, and repairing chains and paddles. Must be able to operate equipment including, but not limited to fork lifts and scissor lifts and have the ability to weld, climb ladders, lift parts, and bolting on replacement parts. Employees will also work with grain bins by receiving crop for drying and storage at grain drying facility; disposing of spoiled grain and chopping grass out of fields; transporting grain to and within grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment, monitoring grain moisture levels, preparing scale tickets, and shoveling grain.
Special Requirements
Workers must be capable of lifting 50 pounds. Workers could be outdoors during near freezing winter conditions.
