General Farmworker

Job description

Employees will operate tractors with feeder wagons to feed cattle daily. Grinding hay and corn will need to be rolled. They will administrate vaccines and pour on for routine care of the animals, operate vehicles with towed equipment such as feed carts, trailers and flatbeds. The Employees will be responsible for minor repairs and routine maintenance of machinery, grounds and structures.

Cattle will need to be branded and relocated to pastures for the summer months. Fencing and repairs of the pens will have to be done. Each pen will have to be checked for minerals, water, health of the animals, on a daily basis.

Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No Texting. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.

Must have a current & insurable drivers license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days. Workers must have three months tractor & cattle experience.
No Educational level required.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English for safety reasons.

The workers will have a contact number where they can contact the Employer in case of emergency.
