Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Workers will perform general farm labor. Workers will drive grain trucks to transport grain from the grain bins to mill and elevator. Workers may disk ground to get ready for planting crops and inspect, maintain, and winterize farm equipment and machinery. Workers with drivers’ license may be asked to drive workers from/to housing, worksite, and grocery store. OFLC Administrator publishes new AEWR rates yearly and we reserve the right to adjust our job order to the new published rate regardless of rate increases or decreases. Raises and bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker, at the employer’s discretion, based on individual factors including but not limited to, performance, experience, number of hours worked in the season, number of seasons worked with the company, adherence to work rules and ability to follow supervisor’s instructions.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months experience needed for grain and general farm labor. The company may conduct a criminal background check on all new employees pre-hire at the employers expense. CDL required to operate company vehicles. All tools and supplies will be provided at no cost to workers. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach, and lift 5 - 60 lbs. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described. Cell phone can only be used during breaks, emergencies, and communicated with supervisor when needed. Safety training on tools and equipment will be provided, if necessary.
