Job description

We farm 300 acres of corn, 300 acres of soybeans, and tend to 600 acres of pasture. We also have 170 cow/calf pairs. Employees will haul corn, haul beans, apply fall fertilizer, apply lime fertilizer, and apply herbicide. Employees will have cattle duties during winter months as our cow/calf operation starts. The calves are weaned late fall and brought home to the feedlot. Employees will be feeding these calves and cows during the confined period. Cow/calves are only confined during the winter months. In January and February, the calves are sold. The cows are then released to pasture, which relieves us of operational duties until the next calving season, no feeding is needed while in pastures. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing/harvesting these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
