Job description
Ensure the work is performed as per MFE’s policies and procedures and adhere to all company safety protocols.
Ability to learn and consistently perform all safe and proper tree climbing techniques.
Ability to learn, understand and consistently perform all ANSI A300 Tree Pruning Standards.
Ability to learn and consistently perform the safe and proper use of hand and power pruning tools within the tree.
Ability to learn and perform basic in the tree removal and lowering techniques.
Assist Journeyman Tree Trimmer in the safe and proper pruning and removal of trees as requested.
Ensure all tools and personal belongings are removed from each job site and properly stowed on trucks and trailers upon job completion.
Daily removal and disposal of all personal and/or crew generated trash from all vehicles, equipment and trailers.
Complete and maintain annual EHAP (Electrical Hazardous Awareness Program) training.
Immediately report all equipment and/or property damages to supervisor.
Special Requirements
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must pass a pre-employment substance screening exam.
Must pass a company administered basic driving test.
Must complete the Ground Operations Specialist Test.
This work includes climbing trees and removing limbs using various hand and power tools on a continuous basis during an eight to ten-hour shift; removing and disposing of tree limbs using various mechanized tools, which can require lifting and carrying from 50 to 100 pound loads.
Must have no fear of heights.
