Job description
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Moving cattle home from summer pasture. Fall cattle work/pregnancy checking. Weaning. Feeding cattle. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Welding maintenance. Inspect livestock for illness/injuries. Maintaining winter grazing fences. Hauling water to heifers. Prepping ranch barns and grounds for freeze. Opening frozen water tanks and springs. Snow removal. Shipping calves to market. Moving cattle to calving pastures in January. Prep barns and cattle for calving. Calving begins end of February through April. Cleaning barns. Prepping hay equipment. Fencing summer pastures. Branding cattle. Moving cattle to summer pasture end of May/ beginning of June. On occasion, drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.

Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
