Job description
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by the supervisor. Job duties will be operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops, sweet potatoes, pasture, and rangeland. Workers will load, unload, and transport dry fertilizer. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil: plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive, operate or use the following farming equipment and tools: self-propelled combine, 4x4 Tractor, Front wheel assist tractor, 2 wd tractor, forklift, Tele handler, backhoe, track hoe, crane, lift truck, fuel truck, semi-truck, 1 ton truck, 2 ton Bob truck, pickup truck, ATV side by side, bulldozer, plasma, cutter, drill, lathe, air seeder, twin row planter, single row planter, 3 pt. drill, field cultivators, Kelley tool, land plain, dirt buggy, dike plow, roller, mower, 3 pt. blade, grain cart, roll a cone, chisel plow, multi grater, welder, torch, misc. hand tools. Workers will perform a variety of duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery and driving grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area CDL may be required. OFLC Administrator publishes new AEWR rates yearly and we reserve the right to adjust our job order to the new published rate regardless of rate increases or decreases. Raises and end of the season bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker, at the employer’s discretions, based on individual factors including but not limited to, performance, experience, number of hours worked in the season, number of seasons worked with the company, adherence to work rules and ability to follow supervisor instructions.
Special Requirements
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Applicants must be 18 years or older. Employer may conduct a criminal background check on all new applicants for employment. No minimum education is required. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. The majority of the workday is spent on ones feet and outdoors. Workers may stand in one place for any period of time.Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach and lift up to 60lbs. Work is performed in outdoor agricultural fields and involves exposure to sun, wind, rain, soil, mud, dust, heat, cold and other natural elements.
