Job description
Job requires breeding, raising and caring for exotic game animals, including deer, elk, East African oryx, turkeys, peacocks, peahens, burros and horses. Job will also require assisting in birth deliveries, recording and monitoring new births and protecting mature animals and new borns from predators, retrieving shed antlers for storage and injury prevention, feeding and medicating animals manually, cleaning and maintaining animal housing areas. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often, and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Pay increase or bonus may be possible to employees depending on experience or merit and are at the sole discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Job will require periods of exposure to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping or bending, and repetitive movements. Random drug-screening and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employer's expense to ensure the safety of housing and worksite locations and conditions.
