Job description

The pre-season maintenance tasks will be done to machinery during the months of December - April when our farming duties have halted and the machinery is not in use. We begin planting our crops in the beginning of May. List of equipment: (2) Planter/Drills, (1) Combine, (8) Tractors, (6) Semi Tractors, (9) Irrigation Pivots. All the machines and equipment will go through a thorough inspection, service, and repair process. Each machine will have a manufacturer's annual maintenance procedure that needs to be followed to ensure proper operation of the equipment during the work season. This winter work process will include the disassembly and reassembly of major components for replacement of bearings, lubricants, filters, parts, worn components, surfacing and welding of cracks. Cleaning of each machine must be done prior to any maintenance work. The work will include heavy lifting of machine parts and holding them in place during reassembly.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 12 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. The worker must be able to handle complex tasks that require logical thought, care, paying attention to details. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
