Job description
Job requires preparing scale tickets, monitoring grain to ensure compliance with moisture and grade standards, transferring grain to proper storage location, shipping grain from elevator as required, transferring grain from storage bins to truck bins prior to shipment, shoveling grain to remove grain that cannot be removed by automatic conveyor equipment, operating augers and grain conveying equipment, and performing housekeeping duties to ensure that storage locations are properly maintained. Job also requires the ability to operate grain transportation equipment; perform maintenance and minor, miscellaneous repair; and climb vertical grain leg. There are few typical days and workers may be required to engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop and weather conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Employees must be able to lift 75 pounds. Employees will scoop grain bins, clean grain pits, use shovels, chainsaw work, work on equipment, and clean equipment.
