Job description

Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Unload all fencing supplies; Position all fencing posts and secure all initial fencing; Unload cattle; Weigh, vaccinate, and tag each; Assist veterinarian in examinations; Distribute water and feed troughs; Put out hay bales; Mix feed with additives daily; Check fences; Examine each cow for injuries; Confine livestock to fenced area; Bust ice in water troughs; Clear manure; Keep weight measurements.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
