Job description

Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Moving cattle home from summer pasture in November, Fall cattle work/pregnancy testing, Weaning, Feeding cattle, Working and vaccinating cattle, Maintaining feed equipment, Prepping sheds for cattle, Snow removal, Shipping Cattle to market, Grinding corn and grinding hay for cattle, Prep barns for calving-set up pens, Calving begins February thru April, Cleaning barns, Prepping hay equipment includes hay rake, disc bine, baler, Work on fencing and load cattle gates to come home, Moving cattle back to pasture, Moving Hay, Straw, and Corn straw bales home, Welding maintenance, Inspect livestock for illness/injuries, Moving cattle back to summer pasture at the end of April.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Must be able to lift a 75 pound calf. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
